What We Measure
Three tests. One sitting at DexaFit Boca Raton.
DEXA body composition, VO₂ Max, and RMR, run one after another in a single appointment, with every result handed to you before you walk out.
Body Composition
The scale reports one figure. You are built from hundreds.
A DEXA scan passes a low-dose X-ray from head to toe and separates fat, lean muscle, and bone density, charting each of them region by region at clinical-grade resolution. Hospitals and research labs hold this measurement as the reference standard, and the scan runs in under 8 minutes. You walk out with a precise read on where you stand and what to work on first.
VO₂ Max Test
The clearest read you have on how long you will last.
VO₂ Max captures how efficiently your body pulls oxygen in and turns it into work as the effort climbs. It reads as much more than a gym number. Among the longevity markers in modern medicine it outweighs smoking, blood pressure, and cholesterol. You breathe through a mask, push through a graded treadmill effort, and we record your genuine ceiling. That figure becomes the plan for raising it.
Resting Metabolic Rate
Most nutrition plans stand on a number no one measured.
An RMR test reads the calories your body burns at full rest, the baseline every nutrition plan should be anchored to. Popular online calculators can sit 20 to 30% off the real figure, and that gap is what stalls fat loss and leaves carefully set macros flat. Fifteen calm minutes of breathing into a mask returns a number pulled from your own metabolism instead of an algorithm's guess.
